IBMC young researchers presented scientific reports at AOHuPO & AOAPO, Singapore
A delegation of young scientists from the Orekhovich Institute of Biomedical Chemistry (IBMC), Center for Scientific and Practical Education has completed the visit to ASEAN countries in May. This is the second visit of Russian scientists in 2023 - in February bilateral meetings were held in Singapore and Malaysia within the framework of the Council on priority direction "20c" of the Strategy of Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation to familiarize with best practices and share experience in the field of personalized medicine, high-tech health care and health saving technologies.
The young researchers’ scientific reports, providing key perspectives for collaborative work were presented in Singapore at the joint 11th Asia Oceania Human Proteome Organization (AOHuPO) Congress and 7th Asia Oceania Agricultural Proteomics Organization (AOAPO) Congress, together with the Singapore Society for Mass Spectrometry (SSMS) Annual Conference aohupo-aoapo-2023.org.
The visit also included meeting with Frank Eisenhaber (Agency for Science, Technology and Research, A*STAR, Bioinformatics Institute, aohupo-aoapo-2023.org) and with scientists from the Malaysian University of Technology (Malaysia) www.utm.my to present work in biomedicine and bioinformatics.
On May 18th in the framework of the XIV International Economic Forum "Russia - the Islamic World: KazanForum” (kazanforum.ru) the official signing of a memorandum on cooperation in biology and medicine between IBMC and the Technological University of Malaysia will take place.
Participation in the events is carried out within the framework of the federal project "Development of large-scale scientific and technological projects in priority research areas" of the national project "Science and Universities" No. 075-15-2021-933 (USI "Avogadro", reg. number 1405855) with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
